The University of Tulsa and The Alexandre Hogue Gallery invites you to our newest exhibition: Garden of Earthly Delights.

Garden of Earthly Delights observes our relationship with the natural world and the forms it takes: the rites of spirituality as they align with nature, fleeting sensory pleasures, and the passage of time and the changes we observe in nature and ourselves. From the crystallized insect specimens of Tyler Thrasher and whistles forged in fire by Laurie Spencer to Irmgard Geul’s hand-embroidered landscape paintings and the evocative photography of Brook Golightly, the artists in Garden of Earthly Delights use a variety of media to explore how we understand and represent the natural phenomena we marvel at but cannot control.
