Queer, Trans and Gender Variant Ancestors Project, 2021

This project was made in honor of our queer, trans, and gender-variant ancestors. It was made in collaboration with four divine living ancestors Michael Espinoza, Bunny Michael, Charlie Amáyá Scott, and Jobis Shosho. These conversations will live on my YouTube Channel and I will also be creating a billboard to share the message behind this project. Please save the dates below!

This project was supported by the LGBTQ+ Fellowship Cluster award, the Berkeley Center for New Media Summer Research Fellowship, and the Sayavong Award, all of which are from UC Berkeley.  

August 2nd - Live Premiere with Michael Espinoza  (8pm pt / 11pm et)

August 30th - Asynch Premiere with Jobis Shosho (Debuts at 12:00am on 8/30)

As a part of this project, I am going to be creating a billboard to share about our ancestors. I may be hanging this billboard at a gallery space but am also looking for other Bay Area-based businesses and buildings that may be able to hang the billboard outside their buildings.
