Salvadoran performance artist and activist Alexia Miranda brought together festival artist, Edgar Fabian Frias and artists Denise Uyehara, Jessica Fairfax Hirst, Eliu Almonte, and Francisco Huguet in a sonic community to create a collective, global voice in a world fractured by conflict. Memoria Sonora is a participatory musical and ritual performance for a group of artists arranged in a large circle in an outdoor location. A composed score of music and spoken word is the basis for an improvised collective work, using sound as a language of vibration and a momentarily shared consciousness. This score took place at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Plaza at La Plaza Olvera in Downtown Los Angeles, California.
